Blake Griffin: Ping Pong Pro?

There is no doubt about it, we ping pong players like to have a good time and joke around.  I mean what since is there in going on and on in life if you cannot laugh and have fun, you know?  That is why I love hanging out with other ping pong players, because we are all pretty funny people overall.  We do not mind sharing some of the funny though, and it is clear that there are a lot of people out there with great senses of humor whether they play ping pong or not.

Ping Pong All Day Long

Maybe we cannot all play table tennis all day long, but in an ideal world it would be that way.  Most of us have to work during the day, and being able to take a break every once in a while is not something to miss out on.  Many companies offer up some fun for break time and that includes having a ping pong or table tennis table set up in break areas.  Not only do these tables offer up a fun way to spend a fifteen minute break, but they have a lot of other perks as well.  So if your employer provides you and your co-workers with the opportunity to get in on the ping pong action, take a break and have some fun.

Remembering Neil Smyth

Last week the news of Cornelius E. “Neil” Smyth passing away evoked great emotion in all of us here.  Neil was an amazing man who made great contributions to the sport of table tennis during his lifetime.  Before he even made his impact on this sport though he lived an incredible life with a unique career path.  While his love of sports and involvement in our favorite sport table tennis is the primary reason that we all knew about Neil, his life was so much more.  So today we will remember Neil Smyth the man and the table tennis lover.

Women in Table Tennis

Like many other sports out there, when people think about table tennis, they usually think of it as a men’s sport.  Unfortunately people fail to forget that women are also contributors to the amazing sport that is called table tennis.  In fact, the women are quite competitive and could maybe even hold their own against some of the men in the game if it came down to it.  If you do not believe me, then you are just plain full of it.  I even have some proof to back up that statement.  Here are some videos of women participating in some table tennis events.  Just take a look and see what they are made of.

Table Tennis Robots: Investing In The Sport

I have owned a table for about 10 years and have played in some clubs lightly but never gotten into real competitive playing, so when I saw folks with table tennis robots either at clubs or in homes, I figured it was only for he more dedicated players and not someone like me.  Because other equipment is so expensive, I figured I might as well stick to the basics and focus on improving my game before I took the robot leap.  A colleague of mine surprised me one day when he told me he had a robot on his personal table, he was acting almost embarrassed by the fact until I told him how envious I was since I figured he must be so good that he competes.

Ping Pong Bars Take Miami

You’ll never believe the latest fad catching heat in the hot Miami sun. Would you believe us if we told you it was pingpong?

The phenomenon, which got it’s start in New York City, thanks to Susan Sarandon’s pingpong bar, SPiN, which opened last year, has migrated down to South Florida where clubs are boasting pingpong tables.
